How does Gamblezoid calculate ratings

rating

The gambling industry perpetuates the illusion that if a brand is everywhere, it must be successful. At Gamblezoid, however, we know the truth.

Advertising can be purchased. Trust and interest must be earned.

This is why our primary focus is Share of Interest (SOI). This metric distinguishes genuine player recognition from marketing noise.

What is SOI, and why is it important?

Share of Interest reflects organic demand. We don't count how many times a brand has shown you an ad. Instead, we measure how often you actively search for that brand, discuss it on forums and recommend it to friends.

  • Ad Reach shows how hard a brand is "knocking" on your door.
  • SOI shows how often you choose to open the door yourself.

How do we calculate it?

At Gamblezoid, we focus on Share of Interest (SOI) as a metric of genuine organic interest. Rather than measuring how often a brand shows you a banner, we measure how often you search for the brand yourself, discuss it in communities, and recommend it to others.

Gamblezoid's analytics are not based on subjective opinions, but on the synergy of professional software and AI algorithms that process gigabytes of data. We use a mathematical model to calculate the market share of each player.

SOI = (SV / Total) * 100

Where:

  • SV: The number of search queries for a specific brand per month.
  • Total: The total search volume for all brands in the category.

When evaluating a brand within a single country, we use Local Search Volume (SV). For global listings, we use Global Search Volume (GSV). This gives us an objective view of the local market and the global market.

If a brand's marketing presence increases to the point where it is everywhere, while its SOI drops or stagnates, that is a red flag. This suggests that people are seeing the ads, but have no desire to engage with the brand further. This most often indicates:
  • Issues with payouts.
  • Poor service or "scripted" software.
  • A loss of reputation within the community.
